WORLD CUP PUNT OF THE DAY
THE CONCLUSION

Steve Goldby; 12 July 2010

We got a bonus last night when we discovered that if the race for the Golden Boot was tied, the competition would be decided on number of assists. Step forward Thomas Mueller and another £60.00 to add to our takings.

We also correctly predicted 0-0 at half-time in Sunday's final and finished up with £994.63 in the bag for an outlay of £477.00 which is a profit of just over 47%.

I'm away now, once I have booked a flight to somewhere warm, and I'll be back with this column in the new season which is actually only three weeks away now.

It's great to be able to say a big thanks to everyone who phoned in and emailed me during the World Cup and I'm delighted that we were able to make some good money together.

If you were one of the many who followed this column from the start, or even one of the many who joined in at some stage after we started - enjoy your winnings. If you are not and wish that you were, you'll get another chance for the new Premiership season when I will be attempting to retain my title as the UK's number one online pundit!

But for now, I'm off to the airport to start spending the winnings...

In the meantime, you can make a Guaranteed Profit of at least £39.00 on Spurs v Manchester City by hitting the link at the bottom of this page.
